We just need new rules. Or at least updated. Respect for members has almost dissipated. I think with the majority member demographic (Early-mid teens) has change , our rules (late tweens-early teens) need to change too.

Religious has been an issue. think I could guess the members who might have been involved. I wish foe listing would include the chat box. OR there was an option to block members for 30 min .

Just make heavy a mini-mod.

Religious debates do not sound lime a problem to be, but more or less (and excuse me for being extremely blunt, but I can think of no other way to put it) people being idiots about it. Again, I don't know what happened during the chat, but there really is no right or wring side in a religious argument since neither side can be proven.

In my opinion, anyway.

Unrelated to whatever this chat thing is, I wanna bring up rep again. Don't know how long it's been since it was taken down, but I think we should maybe bring it back. Granted, it cause issues, but I think it can be more beneficial to the site. Things haven't really heated up too badly lately and I personally think the site experienced a surge in creativity and member activity. Hey, maybe even just do a short trial period or something to see if it could work. I dunno, just my opinion.

Either way, we need some way of letting people know if they're doing good/bad without making a post about it. Heck, we could also use a way to say "Agree" or "Disagree" without having to write a post. Perhaps gain some inspiration from the Facepunch rating system?

Image

Here's something I could also see working: The past Reputation system, but with the option to remain anonymous (only an Admin/Moderator could see who rep'd who). Most quarrels happened because X user rep'd X user, anyways.

This, this, and this. The system did lead to a lot of problems, but it's certainly better than the site being not-so-creative. Also the thanking system won't have the same positive impact.

We should give it another go.

I...actually agree with the idea about the reputation system returning. It's been a while, and I think that it's time to try once more.

And if it doesn't work again, then just abandon it completely.

IF we ever have a bot out break. What we need is a bot Patrol. People who are "modded" just to patrol for bots. Then our admins can do their work on the site.

^I honestley don't think we need something so unneccesary. Normal mods should be able to easilly handle bots. It's also completley unlikley that we'll have a huge outbreak of bots. That kind of problem is usually only found on abandoned forums, that have no active mods or admins to clean the mess up.

I am realy not trying to start a fight here, but you need to realize that the fact that this site is full of teenagers is not going to majorly change anything. I'm sorry, but you make so many comments about this that it's ridiculous. There are just as many teenagers now as there were before. Hell, back in 2007 and 2008 there were even more teenagers, most older than the current ones. And besides that, rules arent age specific. Theres nothing in them that warrants a change at all.

Also we shouldent be allowed to say "Badass" and other variations of "Sas (Oho censoring is keen)". People just look stupid when they say this. This was like, the most unprompted rule change i've seen here, and i'm not saying this because the swearing offends me, so much as I think people look ridiculous when they say this here. It's a freaking kid's website. Hell and damn are barley passible, so why is this? Not to mention half the "badass" things arent "badass" at all. You did not just drink a badass soda, for God's sake.

I totally agree with this post.

Somewhat related, they should at least look into bring back the ability to read your older reputation comments and stuff. I know I can't be the only one here who likes to stroke his ego from time to time.

Quite a badass post, chap.

Would it be possible to implement a way to change our ranks manually? For instance, using the UCP I could change my rank from "Deer" to "Criminal Mind" or something.

Make the Avatar file size limit bigger. I can't use ANY .gif as an avatar, even if it's 80x100.

Strange, I haven't had trouble using .gif avatars in the past.
